London boasts not one but two fine flautists named Rachel, Rachel Brown and Rachel Smith, both with recent reviews of fine recordings.

Rachel Smith has been a supporter of British composers, particularly of the 20th and early 21st century. She explores this repertoire on her CD  Summer Was In August

In The World of The Flute, along with pianist Clare Clements, she presents music by Bach, Ellerby, Fauré, Gaubert, Gershwin, Hahn, Harrington Young, Horovitz, Lewis & Widor.

As a member of the Hilser Trio,  she performs Damase, Debussy, Duruflé, Fauré, Gaubert & Ravel on the CD Aquarelles

Both are reviewed by flautist and UK National Flute Orchestra founder Kenneth Bell
