Danish recorder virtuoso Michala Petri has created a recorded legacy astonishing in both its scope and quality. Her recent recording of the 6 Johann Sebastian Bach Flute Sonatas (BWV 1030 – 1035) was reviewed for us by Elizabeth Walker who found it to be a “wonderfully crafted disc with lots of variety from the continuo team and skilled recorder playing.”
She has followed this with two collaborations. Her first is the album BLUE, a family affair with long-time partner Lars Hannibal with guest appearances by their two daughters. The result is a unique recording of great simplicity and charm.
