Paul Cheneour

The Corona emergency has led to many unusual online performances. For example,  not long before lockdown began, UK flautist Paul Cheneour, who lives in the south coast town of Dover, had the opportunity to record three short flute pieces in historic Fort Burgoyne which is normally closed to the public.. “In the music,” he writes, “I explored its resonance from the past, and how it feels to be there in the present. It was once built to protect #Dover castle from attack.”

The project was sponsored as part of Dover Arts Development‘s #covid19artistsathome through which they are inviting artists to share their work and performances from lockdown. Below, check out the three videos of the resulting music featured as part of their project: www.dadonline.uk/paul-cheneour
